Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS)

We design, integrate and commission ITS that let operators monitor and control traffic and infrastructure in real time from a control centre.

Highways, freight and urban corridors and tunnels have to run safely and without interruption while traffic grows and technical and regulatory demands tighten.

Scope by stage

Engineering that carries through to operation.

The same line covers design, supply, integration and long-term operation.

  1. A01.1

    Design and engineering

    • Conceptual, basic and detailed engineering for road, rail, port and airport projects
    • Subsystem modelling for tunnels, highways and urban underpasses
    • Traffic, ventilation, lighting and evacuation studies (CFD and energy analysis)
    • Integration of subsystems with SCADA platforms and control centres
  2. B01.2

    Supply and installation

    • Industrial-grade equipment for harsh, high-availability environments
    • CCTV, communications, SOS emergency stations, public address, automatic incident detection (AID), signalling and traffic control
    • Installation, commissioning and factory and site acceptance testing (FAT/SAT)
  3. C01.3

    Integration and handover

    • Interconnection of lighting, ventilation, CCTV, SOS, communications, fire protection, HVAC and variable message signs
    • Automated control algorithms with adaptive logic
    • Training for operations and maintenance staff
    • O&M manuals, documentation and protocols
  4. D01.4

    Maintenance and upgrades

    • Preventive, corrective and predictive maintenance
    • Optional 24/7 remote and on-site technical support
    • Upgrades and retrofits of ageing ITS

Subsystems

Subsystems we design and integrate.

CCTV and video analytics (automatic incident detection, ANPR/LPR), SOS emergency stations, public address (PA), variable message signs (VMS), ventilation driven by CO, NOx and visibility sensors, LED lighting under DALI/DALI-2/D4i control, fibre-optic, radio-link and 4G/5G networks, and fire detection and suppression — all integrated into SCADA platforms and control centres.
